The Vivo X300 Pro is thought to become one of a crop of flagship Android smartphones that launch with the same significant battery upgrade. Now, more new tips may or may not corroborate earlier leaks pointing to the supposed capacity boost. It might enable the X300 Pro (and its peers) to considerably outstrip the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in this respect.
The latest next-gen flagship Android smartphone leaks strongly suggest that a lot of them might all debut at around the same time later in 2025, all looking very similar from the front thanks to their new slim-bezel flat displays.
Devices such as the Vivo X300 Pro and Oppo Find X9 Pro might also have another spec in common: a 7,000mAh battery. Now, the former is linked to a rated capacity of 6,870mAh, while that of the latter might be just slightly smaller at 6,830mAh.
Much like their putative rivals the Xiaomi 16 Pro and Honor Magic8 Pro, those values might well be rounded up to the same potentially captivating number for marketing purposes (and also possibly to look all the more like an upgrade over the X200 Pro and X8 Pro, at 6,000mAh and 5,910mAh respectively).
Their upgrades are thought to be implemented through the use of the L-shaped and/or steel-shielded battery designs heretofore mainly linked to Apple’s iPhones…which are supposedly destined for less spectacular upgrades, even in the highest-end 17 Pro-series iterations.
The X300 Pro and X9 Pro are also thought to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 rather than the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC.
Oppo’s new Pro might finally make the switch to a new rear camera layout, though, while its Vivo counterpart might stick with the more traditional central, DSLR lens-like look of the top-end X200 Ultra.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
