Tinubu committed to transforming automobile sector – PCNGi chair 

The Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), Mr. Ismael Ahmed, has reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s automobile sector.

Ahmed stated this in Abuja at the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibitions and Fair. 

As part of the efforts to promote the nation’s clean energy, the PCNGi chairman also hinted that it has expanded free training for members of the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians (ASNAT) in the automobile sector.

‎The event which brought together artisans and technicians across the country provided participants the opportunity to showcase their products, and reel out their contributions to the nation’s economy.

While emphasising the contributions of artisans and technicians in building any economy, the PCNGi boss, who was represented by the Coordinator of Business Development and Strategy, PCNGi, Mrs. Omolara Obileye, stressed the importance of collaboration in the socio-economic development of any nation.

Also speaking at the fair, ‎the Director-General of Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Dr. Afiz Oluwatoyin, highlighted the need to upscale the skills of Nigerian artisans and technicians to meet international standards, adding that President Tinubu has put in place initiatives to address their challenges.

‎In his remarks, the National Coordinator, ASNAT, Comrade Adeshina Akinyemi, called for the government and other stakeholders’ interventions, saying their contributions to the nation’s economy cannot be underestimated.

‎Other stakeholders who spoke at the event also called on the members of the association to mentor the next generation so as to enhance continuity and sustainability.
