Realme today expanded its Realme 15 series with the unveiling of the Realme 15x as the latest member of the lineup.

The Realme 15x is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC, runs Android 15-based Realme UI 6 out of the box, and has up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage onboard, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.

The Realme 15x is built around a 6.8″ HD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Realme says the display has Smart Touch support, enabling users to operate the phone with wet and oily hands, while wearing gloves, or even when the phone’s inside waterproof bags.

For photography, you get a 50MP primary camera on the rear, using the Sony IMX852 sensor. It’s accompanied by one more camera, but Realme hasn’t revealed its purpose. The selfie camera on the front uses the 50MP OmniVision OV50D40 sensor. The Realme 15x also comes with a bunch of AI-powered camera and photography features, including AI Landscape, AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, AI Glare Remover, AI Motion Deblur, and AI Image Matting.

Additionally, the 15x sports a Pulse Light on the rear for notifications. It has nine color options and five glowing modes.

Fueling the Realme 15x is a 7,000 mAh battery, and it comes bundled with an 80W power adapter. But the Realme 15x doesn’t charge that fast as it only supports 60W charging. There’s also 6.5W reverse wired charging support, allowing users to charge other devices with the Realme 15x.

Furthermore, the Realme 15x has MIL-STD-810H certification, and it comes with an “IP69 Pro” rating. And no, it’s not a new IP rating that Realme achieved for the 15x, which even the IEC Technical Committee, who developed the IP ratings, hasn’t announced yet.

The Realme 15x is actually IP66, IP68, and IP69-rated, but the Chinese brand decided to throw the word “Pro” into the mix as Pro “represents the simultaneous compliance with IPX6, IPX8, IPX9, and the special water resistance capabilities defined outside the existing standards.”

Moreover, Realme claims that with “IP69 Pro,” the Realme 15x is protected against 36 types of liquids within the temperature range of 0°C to 85°C, but it hasn’t shared a list of those liquids.

That said, the Realme 15x is 8.2mm thick, weighs 212 g, and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes in Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red colors, with two memory options – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at INR16,999 ($190/€165) and INR17,999 ($200/€175), respectively. Both models are on sale in India through Realme’s website, Flipkart, and mainline stores.
