After an investigation by the Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit, the 32-year-old man has been charged with defrauding 15 individuals out of a total of $40,000 between January and September of 2025.

Police said the man is alleged to have sold multiple vehicles under several false pretences. Investigators determined that some vehicles had odometers rolled back, others were sold with fraudulent safety inspections, some buyers never received the vehicles they purchased, and others unknowingly purchased scrap vehicles that had been misrepresented as roadworthy.

Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. On Jan. 29, 2026, he turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters.

He has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
