GWR battery train sets 200-mile world record on Oxford route

A new world record for the furthest distance travelled by a battery-electric train on a single charge has been set by Great Western Railway (GWR). The train travelled 200 miles on a single charge during a return journey from Reading Train Care Depot, which took in London Paddington twice and Oxford, on Wednesday, August 20.
