The incident took place on the R660 at Holycross shortly after 2.15pm The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted. The local Coroner has been notified.
