A street cleaner has died after being hit by a goods vehicle in Yau Ma Tei on New Year’s Eve. She had been transporting refuse to the junction of Waterloo Road and Ferry Street when she was hit by the vehicle as it made a left turn from Waterloo Road into Ferry Street at about 8 pm. She was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital with serious head injuries and was certified dead a short while later.
