The driver of the third car fled, leaving the vehicle they were driving at the scene.
GARDAÍ ARE SEEKING to identify the driver of a car involved in a three-car collision after a woman in her thirties has died.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at around 11:10pm last night on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, Co Limerick.
Investigating Gardaí are seeking to identify the driver of the third car. That driver fled, leaving the vehicle they were driving at the scene.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of a car, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her body has been conveyed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The coroner has been notified.
The sole occupant of the second car, a man in his forties was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
The N24 between R505 and L1132 remains closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, Co Limerick between 10:45pm and 11:30pm yesterday re asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
