China BYD Group’s 14 millionth new energy vehicle, aca Song Pro SUV, rolls off the production line at its Brazilian Factory.

Milestone production witnessed by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Vice President Gerardo Alckmin.

At the event, BYD Chairman handed over the keys to the milestone vehicle, a Song Pro Crossover SUV, to Brazilian President.

China’s BYD Group is celebrating a production milestone as its 14 millionth new energy vehicle (NEV), a a Song Pro, has officially rolled off the production line at its Brazilian passenger vehicle plant.

Witnessed by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Vice President Gerardo Alckmin and Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Zhu Qingqiao, this milestone marks a new phase in BYD’s globalization.

At the event, BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu handed over the keys to the milestone vehicle, a Song Pro Crossover SUV, to Brazilian President Lula da Silva.

“You have every chance of making history by producing the most sophisticated and fastest cars on earth—a glory that will belong to Bahia, China, and Brazil,” Lula said while extending his best wishes to the people of Bahia and BYD.

At the ceremony, Wang Chuanfu thanked the Chinese and Brazilian governments, partners, and users for their long-term support since its its arrival in the local market over a decade ago.

He said :

“BYD has been in Brazil for over 11 years, and BYD electric buses are now commonplace in the country. Today, BYD has over 170,000 owners in Brazil and has been the top seller in the Brazilian new energy vehicle market for two consecutive years. BYD in Brazil is not only an investor, but also a long-term partner.”

Also at the event, Wang Chuanfu announced that BYD will provide 30 customized new energy vehicles for low-carbon transportation at the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Pará, Brazil.

After the conference, Wang Chuanfu said these 30 customized new energy vehicles will be donated to local schools and public institutions – continuing to serve Brazilian society and promote green mobility.
