Multiple ‘illegal’ vehicles have been seized by Oxfordshire police, with one driver sent to attend court.
The Thames Valley Police rural crime unit, which covers the entire Thames Valley region, said they seized two cars last night (Thursday, March 12), including one driven by a motorist they have stopped before.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers from the taskforce have dealt with the driver of this vehicle twice within eight months.

“Vehicle seized again for no insurance and the driver has been summoned to court where they will likely face a ban and fine.”
In addition, the unit said that they stopped a separate motorist after they noticed some “erratic” driving.

They then found out that the driver had no licence nor insurance.
The spokesperson for the force added: “This evening PC Gurney and PC Barnes stopped a driver after noticing some erratic driving.

“It became apparent that the driver had no licence and no insurance either. The driver has been reported for the offences and the vehicle has also been seized.”
These are far from the first cars taken from the roads by police this month.
Thames Valley Police said on Tuesday, March 10 that they confiscated a car near Wantage and Grove as its driver hadn’t taken a test, had no licence and no insurance.
The force added that the motorist will be reported to court.
