The recent Motorola Edge 70 is focused on a super-slim build, but that comes at the expense of battery capacity – the phone is only 6.0mm thick, but its battery is only 4,800mAh. For comparison, the Edge 60 was a 7.9mm phone with a 5,200mAh battery.
Now Motorola is launching the Moto Edge 70 Fusion. It slims down compared to its predecessor too, but without sacrificing the battery – it has the same 5,200mAh capacity as the Edge 60 Fusion, while reducing the thickness from 8.0mm to 7.2mm. The weight remains essentially the same at 177g.

The new Fusion is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a TSMC N4 chip with Cortex-A720 and A520 CPU cores (15% faster than the previous model) and an Adreno 810 GPU. This is a break from the previous model, which had a Dimensity 7300.
Motorola also reworked the display – the new model features a quad-curved 6.78” OLED panel with 1272p+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It boosts to an impressive brightness of 5,200 nits, which is higher than even the Edge 70 (4,500 nits).

The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The Edge 70 Fusion is built tough and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance (against submersion and water jets, respectively). Also, it has survived MIL-STD-810H testing.

There is a Pantone Validated dual camera on the back. The main module features a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 sensor (1.0µm pixels) and an OIS-enabled lens. It is joined by a 13MP ultra-wide (120°) with macro capabilities. The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor.
Like before, the phone supports 68W fast wired charging, but lacks wireless.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is available in several colors with fabric-inspired finishes for the back.
Note that there will be a different version of the Edge 70 Fusion for India. That is thicker at 7.99mm but has a larger 7,000mAh battery. Europe is getting the slimmer version of the Fusion, though.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is available in Europe now from the company’s online store. On the mainland, an 8/256GB unit sells for €420, while in the UK it’s £370 (note: this includes free Moto Buds Loop valued at £130).
Update: as it turns out, Motorola will also sell the 7,000mAh version in Europe too and it’s only a bit more expensive – €440 or £380 (also with the Buds Loop).
