The automotive sector recorded a surge in 2025, with a wave of new and redesigned models spanning electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids, and CNG-powered cars. SUVs, sedans, crossovers, and convertibles all featured prominently, reflecting growing consumer demand for diverse mobility options.

The industry experienced notable technological shifts, particularly in electrification and software-defined vehicles (SDVs). Connected cars equipped with 5G and artificial intelligence are reshaping buying patterns and promoting sustainable mobility. Despite these advances, high EV costs and infrastructure gaps remain key challenges.

Automakers increasingly collaborated with technology firms to integrate smart features into autonomous vehicles, EVs, and connected models. These partnerships are transforming the driving experience, embedding vehicles within the broader Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.

Nevertheless, traditional petrol and diesel models continue to dominate global sales, while EVs gradually gain market share as the industry transitions toward electrification.
