Xiaomi has confirmed the battery capacities of its Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max smartphones ahead of their upcoming Indian and global releases. At the same time, the company has also teased that a special edition model will be joining the pair in both markets as Xiaomi reprises its Iron Man partnership.
Xiaomi will be replacing the Poco X7 Pro later this month (curr. $359 on Amazon). Scheduled to arrive on March 17, the Poco X8 Pro is already confirmed to surpass its predecessor with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset first seen in the Redmi Turbo 5. The Poco X8 Pro will be joined by the Poco X8 Pro Max as part of a simultaneous Indian and global release.
Now, Xiaomi has teased that the Iron Man Edition will be returning for the Poco X8 series, too. So far, the company has only confirmed the design of its new special edition handset. However, multiple shots of the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition were revealed at the end of last month in an extensive leak.
Moreover, Xiaomi has revealed that the Poco X8 Pro Max will ship with an inferior battery globally than in India. Specifically, the company has disclosed that the Poco X8 Pro Max will be available in India with a 9,000 mAh battery alongside the 6,500 mAh capacity powering the Poco X8 Pro. While the latter will ship with the same capacity and 100 W wired charging globally, the Poco X8 Pro Max must make do with an 8,500 mAh capacity.
